Dr. Ioannis Gialelis

Biography :
Dr Ioannis Gialelis holds a PhD in Electrical Engineering specializing in Internet technologies for industrial environments. He has served as a research fellow and tenured teaching staff member at the Department of Electrical and Computer Engineering, University of Patras (Greece), and he is also a collaborating researcher at the ATHENA RC. He has authored or co-authored more than 110 publications in peer-reviewed journals and conference proceedings and has supervised over 50 research and innovation projects funded by the EU and Greek funding bodies. His research focuses on AI-enabled embedded systems and multi-sensor data integration, with particular emphasis on circularity-oriented applications.
